Some Flow customers in St. Andrew still affected after cables vandalised

Danielle Savoury, Senior Manager of Communications at Flow
By Nakinskie Robinson

Telecommunications provider, Flow, says it is still working to address the outage affecting internet, landline and cable customers in the Corporate Area, after some its wires were vandalised.

The outage began on December 6.

Danielle Savoury, Senior Manager of Communications at Flow, said a contingency measure is being implemented to restore services.

"We have both fibre and copper cables running underground and both types of cables are impacted. As a result...the customers on our copper network have to be migrated to our fibre network and that migration is still not yet complete. So, we just continue to work and we thank customers for their patience as they work through this process," she said.

Customers along Half Way Tree Road and communities in the vicinity, as well as the New Kingston area have been impacted.
