A St. Andrew resident has been charged with the murder of one of his relatives following a long-standing dispute.
He is 29-year-old Daniel Powell of Old Hope Road.
Mr. Powell is accused of killing 44-year-old Peter Lindsey, otherwise called 'Gregory', of Standpipe district, St. Andrew on July 15.
The Half Way Tree police say both men were in an argument when Mr. Powell reportedly retrieved a firearm and opened fire at Mr. Lindsey, who was pronounced dead at hospital.
On Tuesday, Mr. Powell surrendered to the police in the company of his attorney.
He was then charged after a warrant was executed on him.
His court date is being finalised.
