The St James police are reporting significant improvements in the time it takes for them to respond to incidents.

Senior Superintendent Eron Samuel, Commanding Officer for the Division, pointed to the foiling of a robbery at a supermarket on Church Street in Montego Bay earlier this month as evidence of the improved response time.

Two policemen were wounded in that incident.

Superintendent Samuels said the police have also been paying special attention to traffic management in the city.
