The JDF says a tudent pilot was at the controls of the helicopter which made a precautionary landing in Hill Run, St. Catherine on Wednesday.

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) has revealed that a student pilot was at the controls of the helicopter which made a precautionary landing in Hill Run, St. Catherine on Wednesday.

The JDF says it is trying to determine what led to the pilot's action.

The JDF's Colonel General Staff Rohan Johnson told Radio Jamaica News that the student, who was flying solo, had no apparent injuries. Additionally, he said the aircraft has "very little damage".

He said an investigation is being carried out.
