A taxi operator died from injuries he received in a two-vehicle collision along the Albion main road in Manchester on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Dave Woodley, of Broadleaf.
Mr. Woodley, who drove a white Toyota Probox, plied the Mandeville to Broadleaf/Comfort routes.
The driver of the second vehicle - a Honda Accord - is in serious condition.
Sergeant Florizel Williams, head of the Manchester Traffic Division, says driver error led to the crash, which occurred about 6 a.m.
"Both vehicles were heading northerly from the direction of Knockpatrick towards Mandeville. The information on hand presently [is that] the Honda was travelling ahead. The Probox overtook the Honda. The driver inadvertently misjudged the clearance. Both vehicles collided. They lost control, climbed the left enbankment and both overturned in the roadway," he reported.
Mr. Woodley leaves behind three children.
