Taxi operator killed on Drax Hall main road

The Drax Hall main road in St. Ann is the scene of yet another accident.     Just two weeks ago two persons were killed on the busy road which leads to Ocho Rios. 

The latest accident which occurred Thursday left one man dead and another in hospital.

Dead is 41-year-old, Delvin Rose a taxi operator of Higgin Town in the parish, while injured is Courtney Robinson, a security guard from Free Hill, St. Mary.

According to the police, about 7:30 in the morning, Mr. Rose was driving a Toyota Corolla motor car towards St. Ann's Bay.

While driving, he collided with an Isuzu motor truck that was heading towards Ocho Rios.

A Toyota Mark 2 motor car then collided in the wreckage.

Mr. Rose and Mr. Robinson received multiple injuries and were taken to the St. Ann's Bay Hospital where Mr. Rose died while being treated and his passenger was admitted.

On July 10, 22-year-old taxi operator Kemoy Lawson and 18-year-old Keneisha Shirley were killed along the Drax Hall road, when the car Mr. Lawson was driving collided with a Toyota Corolla.

Three other persons were injured in the accident.
