Those Incomparable government contracts?

Transport and Works Minister Mike Henry says discussions are underway to determine how his Ministry will treat with the recent announcement of a freeze on Mr. Coke's assets.

It was previously revealed that Mr. Coke helmed a construction company, Incomparable Enterprises, which has benefited handsomely from several government contracts worth millions of dollars.

Speaking on RJR's Hotline Monday, Mr. Henry said the matter is under discussion as it poses several legal challenges:

“Obviously I couldn't answer that from the seat of my pants, because this would have to come to me in advice of the Contractor General/Attourney General. There are legal issues that relate. Right now, we don’t know, but I want to put it in context, right now we may be dealing with companies that Bernie Maddoff used to run, we may be dealing with companies that Olint used to run. So that all of that needs a process by which you are going to analyse where you are.” Said Mr. Henry.

He added that his ministry has already acted on the issue:

“Once the Contractor General spoke of issues I passed that to the legal department of the Ministry, I passed it to the Contractor and the Attourney General to give me their comments. We have to look at what the NCC (National Contracts Commission) has as a company. We don’t know who shareholders are as against Directors.” Said the Works Minister.

Our news centre has not been able to determine if Mr. Coke's company has contracts which are still pending.

Over the last two years, Incomparable Enterprises has been endorsed by the National Contracts Commission allowing it to receive government contracts totalling more than 140 million dollars.
