A top United States military official is due in Jamaica on Tuesday, August 9.
Douglas Fraser, the Head of the Southern Command, US Air Force General, is to pay a two day visit.
The Southern Command is responsible for all American military cooperation and partnerships in the Caribbean and Latin America.
During his visit, General Fraser will meet with Prime Minister Bruce Golding and other government officials as well as senior members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).
General Fraser will also visit several JDF facilities.
The US General has served in various operational capacities across the U.S. Air Force, including Director of the Chief of Staff’s Air Force Operations Group and Director of Air and Space Operations for Air Force Space Command.
