Tributes pour in for late RJRGLEANER CEO Anthony Smith

 
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport, Olivia Grange has expressed sorrow at the sudden passing of Chief Executive Officer of the RJRGLEANER Communications Group, Anthony Smith.
 
Mr. Smith died on Sunday following a brief illness.
 
Ms. Grange says Mr. Smith's death has left her deeply saddened as the media fraternity has lost another outstanding leader.
 
She extended condolences to Mr. Smith's family, friends and associates, as well as to the RJRGLEANER Communications Group.
 
Opposition Spokesperson on Information Nekeisha Burchell, in extending condolence, described Mr. Smith as a steady and thoughtful leader who brought clarity, professionalism, and a strong sense of purpose to Jamaica's media landscape. 
 
In meantime, Governor General Sir Patrick Allen sais Mr. Smith's death is a great loss to Jamaica's media and corporate landscape.
 
Sir Patrick said he was a valued sponsor of the Governor General's Programme for Excellence (GGPE) and a dedicated member of the GGPE Advisory Board, where his insight, commitment, and belief in youth development left a lasting impact.
 
The Caribbean Broadcasting Union and Public Media Alliance, formerly the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, have also paid tribute to Mr. Smith and expressed condolences.
