A strengthening Tropical Storm Ernesto, which could become a major hurricane in a couple of days, is expected to be nearing Bermuda this Saturday as it makes its way over the western Atlantic.
National Security Minister Michael Weeks is urging residents to make preparations as the conditions could worsen.
The National Hurricane Centre said Bermuda should monitor the progress of Ernesto, which is moving towards the northwest near 16 miles per hour.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
