Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton has instructed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Dunstan Bryan to provide a report on the number of ventilators in the public healthcare system.
It follows questions by Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Alfred Dawes over the whereabouts of the 105 ventilators donated during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Tufton had indicated that there are approximately 100 ventilators in use in the public healthcare system.
But Dr Tufton, speaking Tuesday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, said Mr Bryan will provide more specifics to the public on the ventilators.
