Tui is set to resume a limited schedule to holidays to Jamaica next week, following widespread disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa.
The UK-based tour operator says it will start part of its programme on November 24, after cancelling flights and packages in the wake of the storm which severely damaged hotels, roads and other infrastructure.
In its latest update, Tui UK and Ireland said package holidays and flights to Jamaica have been cancelled up to and including November 23. The company said it was able to resume part of its programme to Jamaica from the 24th.
Tui had earlier suspended services to the island until at least November 16, while Virgin Atlantic also paused flights to Jamaica until late November.
Hurricane Melissa made landfall on October 28, damaging communities and tourism infrastructure.
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) says the country is steadily reopening, with all international and domestic airports now operational.
The JTB has also published a list of hotels that have opened, along with updates on tours and attractions as recovery efforts continue across the main resort areas.
