Two men have been arrested following the seizure of a high powered weapon on Red Hills Road, St Andrew on Monday.
The St. Andrew Central Police say an M16 rifle with a magazine containing twenty rounds of ammunition was seized during an operation.
According to the Half Way Tree Police, about 2:15 p.m., lawmen were in the area when a property was searched, and two men were seen.
The men were accosted and a search conducted at the property. During the search, the weapon was found in their possession. They were subsequently taken into custody.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
