Two police officers and a civilian shot in downtown Kingston

Two police officers and a woman were shot and wounded, reportedly during a confrontation with men along Water Street in Denham Town, Kingston early this morning.
 
It's reported that about 2:35, police officers attached to the Kingston Western Division were on mobile patrol on Albert Street when they observed that a man, who, upon seeing them, ran onto a nearby property. Some of the officers pursued the man on foot to Water Street, but lost sight of him.
 
Several men, with high-powered weapons, were then reportedly seen walking along Water Street where a party was in progress.
 
The police say there was a shoot-out after the men opened fire at their service vehicle.
 
They said, when the shooting subsided, it was discovered that two police officers and a 21 year-old woman had been shot. 
 
Both officers received wounds to their hands, which is not considered life threatening, and the woman received wounds to the back and a leg. 
 
Two of the service vehicle doors were reportedly damaged by bullets.
