Vendor dies after being hit by truck on Spanish Town Bypass

A pedestrian died after he was hit by a truck on the Spanish Town Bypass in St. Catherine on Friday morning.
 
He is 42-year-old Kevin Henry, a vendor of a Spanish Town address.
 
The driver of the truck told Radio Jamaica News that he was proceeding on the bypass about 4:45 a.m. when a man ran into the path of the vehicle. 
 
"He just run suddenly cross [the road], so there was nothing you could do. That's a truck, and when truck carrying weight, it doesn't stop that easily," he said. 
 
He added that the man had been wearing dark clothing.
