Voting is underway in the general election in the Cayman Islands.
More than 21,000 Caymanians are eligible to cast ballots.
For the first time, Caymanians will vote for a government under the equitable system of ‘one man, one vote’ in single member constituencies. As a result, all voters will choose one candidate on the ballot sheet in their electoral district.
The polls opened at 7 o'clock local time in the 19 electoral districts and will close at 6:00 p.m.
