Vybz Kartel back in court today

Dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel is due to stand trial Monday for one of  the murder cases against him. Kartel and his co-accused Lenburgh McDonald and Nigel Thompson are accused of the murder of  Barrington Burton otherwise call "Bossie" in Portmore, St Catherine.

When the matter came up for mention on May 27, prosecutors disclosed that they were experiencing difficulty in the matter, as the main witness cannot be located. As a result, the Office of the Director of  Public Prosecutions said it will be proceeding under Section 31(D) of  the Evidence Act. This means the prosecution intends to use the statement of the witness to try the entertainer and the other accused.
