Suriname's Staatsolie partners with Petrobras to enhance oil and gas exploration

Suriname's state-owned energy oil and gas company, Staatsolie, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian oil and gas company, Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras).

The agreement allows for the two state-owned companies to explore opportunities in specific areas, including the exploration and production of oil and gas.

The Memorandum of Understanding offers Staatsolie the opportunity to use Petrobras' expertise to further develop the Surinamese oil, gas, and energy industry in a more sustainable way, while at the same time, contributing to regional energy security and transition.
