Olympic 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson and national sprint hurdles record holder Ackera Nugent were the Jamaican winners at Saturday’s Eugene Diamond League meet in the United States.
Thompson running against a stacked field, crossed the line in 9.85 seconds. Another Jamaican, Ackeem Blake was 5th in 10.03.
Nugent also got another win on the circuit, clocking 12.32 seconds to win the women’s 100m hurdles.
National champion Ralford Mullings took second in the men's discus with a throw 68.98m done in the fifth round.
Olympic champion Roje Stona was fourth in 65.62m
National 100m champion Tina Clayton had to settle for 4th in the women's 100m in 11.02 seconds. The event was won by inform Melissa Jefferson-Wooden in 10.75 seconds. In the women's long jump, Ackelia Smith was sixth with a leap of 6.67m.
