There are reports out of The Bahamas that Junkanoo parades could be postponed this year.
Chairman of the Junkanoo Corporation of New Providence, Dion Miller has claimed unprecedented political interference by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture.
According to ournewsbahamas, this latest dramatic turn of events follows an announcement by the Office of The Attorney General to allow an additional group to participate.
Mr Miller is arguing that established rules and regulations are being undermined.
A press conference is scheduled with all group leaders and stakeholders for 6pm today, where the cancellation is expected to be officially announced.
