Connie Francis is new Sunshine Girls head coach

Former national player and veteran coach Connie Francis has been appointed as the new head coach of the Sunshine Girls. This follows the decision by Netball Jamaica not to renew the contracts of the previous head coach Marvette Anderson and assistant coach Winston Nevers after the Sunshine Girls’ flop at the recent World Championship in England. Francis last coached the Sunshine Girls in 2011.

The experienced Francis guided Jamaica to the bronze medal position at the World Championship in New Zealand in 2007 and second at the inaugural Fast Net Series in England in 2009. As a player Francis represented Jamaica at five World Championships.
