Radio Jamaica Sports understands that Cricket West Indies (CWI) is leaning towards allowing Sherfane Rutherford and Romario Shepherd to continue playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and miss the three match One Day International (ODI) series in England.
This follows Monday night's report that the duo alongside Shamar Joseph are facing a dilemma of choosing between representing the West Indies in the series against England set for May 29 to June 3, or completing their stints in the IPL, which will resume on May 17 and run until June 12.
Of the trio, only Rutherford doesn't currently have a CWI contract. Other nations have also been grappling with the change of IPL dates.
