Guyanese batsman Shimron Hetmyer has arrived in India to join up with the West Indies squad for their opening match against Scotland at the ICC T20 World Cup.
The West Indies had travelled to Inida without Hetmyer for the tournament, after the Guyanese was left stranded in South Africa due to visa issues.
West Indies captain Shai Hope says the Caribbean side is an upbeat mood ahead of the tournament. The West Indies will face Scotland in their opening game on Saturday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata starting at 4:30 am Jamaica time.
