Humble Lion upset MBU in RSPL

Humble Lion ended the five game winning streak of champions Montego Bay United with a come-from-behind 2-1 win in the Red Stripe Premier League on Sunday.

Dwayne Ambusley sent the champions ahead but goals from Gary McIntosh and Dwayne Holmes salvaged a win for the Clarendon-based team as they moved to 25 points, six behind Mo Bay United.

Jamalco completed a double over second placed UWI FC with a 1-0 win at the UWI Mona Bowl. The winner came in the fourth minute courtesy of  Kenroy Thomas. Both teams ended with ten players as Tashane Campbell of Jamalco and Dino Schaffe of UWI saw red.

Anthony Patrick started life as head coach of Marverley /Hughenden on a winning note, beating Reno 3-0 at Constant Spring. Andrew White, Phillip Peddie and Rodico Wellington were on the score sheet.

Bottom- placed Boys’ Town collected another point when they held Portmore United to a 0-0  draw at the Barbican field.

In the late kick-offs, Waterhouse went down 1-0 to Tivoli Gardens at Drewsland while struggling 2015 winners Arnett Gardens had a similar victory over Harbour View at the Compound courtesy of a Newton Sterling strike.
