JAAA breaks silence on athletes' allegiance switch

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA0 has broken its silence on reports that three top national representatives have switched allegiance to Turkey.

In a press release on Friday, the JAAA said it has neither been notified nor received a request for the transfer of allegiance of any of any Jamaican athlete, whether those mentioned in referenced media reports or any other.

The local governing body says it will continue to be guided by the World Athletics transfer of allegiance regulations and will engage with the requisite processes.
