Reggae Boy Leon Bailey has angered Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) president Michael Ricketts with social media comments he made recently about the federation and national coach Theodore Whitmore. The German Bundesliga star could be sanctioned for his views.
Last Saturday, Bailey on an instagram live with 876stream, said the JFF would be the downfall of the national team if they didn't qualify for the 2022 World Cup. However, Ricketts has not takeN kindly to bailey's comments.
The 22 year old Bayer Leverkusen winger also seemed to have questioned the approach of Whitmore to squad selection. Ricketts who was speaking on Hitz 92 FM’s Sports Grill earlier this week, revealed that Bailey has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the JFF for possible action to be taken. Bailey who made his debut for the Reggae Boyz in June 2019, has 6 caps and one goal so far for the national outfit.
