Scores of regional and international surfers are down to compete in this year's
Makka pro surfing competiton.
The 7th staging of the JTB Jamaica surfing association contest will run from
the July 21-22 but will be preceded by the Makka festival of culture and environment
from July 15-19.
The event which will be at the Makka surfing beach in St Thomas is
Jamaica's only professional surfing contest and one of the largest in the English speaking Caribbean.
Points from Makka pro Jamaica , San Souci pro, Trinidad and Independence pro Barbados will accumulate to determine the Caribbean champion surfer and the Paul Blades memorial cup winner.
