The West Indies will be a bowler short heading into the third and final One Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka on Sunday, as fast bowler Shamar Joseph is set to return to the Caribbean.
According to a note from Cricket West Indies (CWI) Media Officer Jerome Foster on Thursday, Joseph has withdrawn from the squad for personal reasons and will return to the Caribbean.
The 25 year old did not feature in the Windies two five wicket defeats in the first two ODI's, but played in all three T20 internationals where the Caribbean men lost the series 2-1. The third and final ODI will be played in Pallekele, and is set to bowl of 4 am Jamaica time on Sunday.
