Jamaica College goalkeeper Tawayne Lynch could now miss the final of the ISSA Manning Cup after he was slapped with a two game ban in addition to his one match suspension, following Saturday's Champions Cup quarter-final.
Lynch was shown a straight red card for allegedly handling the ball outside the box in Jamaica College's 1-0 win over McGrath High at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Saturday.
The card suspension was upheld despite video footage from the game showing that Lynch was still inside the goal area when the ball made contact with his hand.
Radio Jamaica Sports understands that after the goalkeeper was ejected, he referred to the match officials as "thiefs", while heading towards the tunnel.
At a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday morning, Lynch was given an additional two game ban for his utterance.
It means the JC number one will miss the school’s next three schoolboy football games.
JC will take on Hydel High in the semi-finals of the champions Cup on Wednesday and will miss Saturday's final, should they be successful.
He will also miss next week Tuesday's Manning Cup semi-final against St Catherine High. Should JC not win on Wednesday against Hydel and are victorious against St Catherine, Lynch will then miss the Manning Cup final.
