Spanish Town Police surprise Dunbeholden in JPL action

Spanish Town Police surprised Dunbeholden 2-0 in their rescheduled Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) game at the Dunbeholden Oval on Thursday.

Lastson Reid broke the deadlock in the 40th minute before Ryieme Gayle sealed the win in the 62nd minute for Spanish Town Police, as they secured maximum points for the third time this season. Spanish Town Police also avenged their 1-0 loss to Dunbeholden in August of last year.

Despite the victory, Spanish Town Police remain rooted at the foot of the table on 12 points, while Dunbeholden are 13 points ahead in 9th position.

Dunbeholden will next be in action against Waterhouse on Sunday, while Spanish Town Police will play away to defending champions Cavalier on Monday.
