Tallawahs lose third straight game at CPL 2021

The Jamaica Tallawahs are now second from bottom on the Caribbean Premier League table after going down by 75 runs to the Trinbago Knight Riders on Tuesday at Warner Park in St Kitts.

Batting first, TKR recovered from 105-4 to post 167-4 as captain Kieron Pollard 39 and Tim Seifert 24 scored 62 runs from the last 2.4 overs.

Lendl Simmons was the top scorer with 42 as Migael Pretorius, Imad Wasim, Veersammy Permaul and Carlos Brathwaite all ended with a wicket.

The Tallawahs in their run case were blown away for just 92 as Ali Khan bagged 4-6.

Captain Rovman Powell top scored with 22, while Brathwaite 14, Wasim 11 and Jason Mohammed 10, were the only other batsmen to reach double figures.

Ravi Rampaul and Sunil Narine also picked up two wickets.

The Tallawahs will face leaders St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday morning at Warner Park starting at 9:00 Jamaica time.
