Titans finish last in CWI Breakout T20 League

The Jamaica Titans finished at the foot of the six team Cricket West Indies (CWI) Breakout T20 League table after suffering their fourth defeat in five games on Tuesday night at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. The Scorpions who ended the tournament on 8 points with just one win, lost by 86 runs to the Windward Islands Infernos.

Batting first, the Windwards posted 211-6. Johann Jeremiah ended with the highest individual score in the tournament, as he made 97. His innings consisted of 7 fours and 8 sixes, as he got support from Teddy Bishop 44 and Alick Athanaze 34. Jeavor Royal and Anthony Dackers both had two wickets.

Chasing a commanding 212 to win, the Titans slipped to 44-5 after the first six overs. From there, the team did not recover as the innings came to an end at 125 all out.

Wicketkeeper Deethmar Anderson with 35 and team captain Ramaal Lewis with 25, shared in a 51-run seventh wicket partnership to add some respectability to the score. Ryan John, Keon Gaston and Darel Cyrus all had two wickets for the Infernos.
