Kendrick Lamar takes home six trophies at 2022 BET Awards

The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards aired last night, featuring some of the biggest names in the genre.

Kendrick Lamar stole the show, taking home six trophies, including Artiste of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer, and Album of the Year for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. 

Canadian rapper Drake won Best Collaboration for Wait For U with Future and Tems, and double wins for Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse with contributions on Wait For U and Jack Harlow's Churchill Downs.

Big Energy by Latto scored Song of the Year, and Lizzo's About Damn Time was crowned the Impact Track. 

Hitmaka was named Producer of the Year, and DJ Drama won DJ of the Year. 

Caresha Please and Drink Champs tied for the coveted Best Hip Hop Platform award.

The I Am Hip Hop honour was presented to Miami rapper Trina.
