Shanique Singh
Miss Howard Johnson Realty Shanique Singh was last night crowned Miss Jamaica World 2022.
The 25-year-old entered the final leg of the competition winning two fast track events, Fort Clarence Beach Beauty as well as Talent. She also won the Beauty with a Purpose prize.
Lineisha Davis placed second and Tahje Bennett, third.
The event was held at the Courtleigh Auditorium and saw Khamara Wright being named Multimedia Award winner, Most Improved was Tashwania Buchanan and Toni-Ann Martin won both Most Congenial and Most Photogenic.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness congratulated the newly crowned queen on social media and wished her success in her future endeavours.
Singh is hoping to replicate the success of namesake Toni-Ann Singh who took home the Miss World crown in 2019.
The location and date of the 71st Miss World grand coronation have not yet been announced.
