Tax Administration Jamaica is reminding tax payers that it takes four weeks between the confirmation that their application for the one-off payment of $20,000 dollars under the Reverse Income Tax Credit scheme has been successful and the actual disbursement of the funds.
TAJ also says taxpayers may track the status of their applications through its tax portal Jamaicatax.gov.jm by using the confirmation number provided during the application process.
The tax collections agency is also advising tax payers that notifications may only be obtained via email because the functionality for SMS text messages is currently unavailable.
TAJ says 260,000 reverse tax credit applications have been received so far.
