Access Financial Services has launched a programme it hopes will help reduce poverty in Jamaica.
Access-Ability uses the globally recognised poverty stoplight methodology to help gauge the needs of families and plot strategies for them to improve their economic standing.
Nicholas Mundell, Marketing and Communications Manager at Access Financial, said Access-Ability will use a multidimensional framework to assess poverty in six main areas: Income and Employment, Housing and Infrastructure, Education and Culture, Health and Environment, Organization and Participation and Interiority and Motivation.
Access Financial will conduct the surveys.
A poverty map will then be generated, and participants will also benefit from the services of various facilitators who will provide advice on wealth building and sustainability strategies.
Access is also looking to partner with businesses, non-profits, and government, to help connect families with solution-providers.
