The Government is to fork out $200 million to purchase the Air Jamaica building in downtown Kingston.
Money for the purchase has been set aside in the 2011/2012 Estimates of Expenditure which were tabled on Thursday in Parliament.
The building will be used to house the Accountant-General's Department.
A section of the property, which is located on Harbour Street, has for years been used as the corporate headquarters for Air Jamaica.
The Government had announced plans last year to sell the building and use the proceeds to finance the airline's operations ahead of its sale.
