High interest rate regime hindering equities market, says Street Forrest

 
Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, Dr. Marlene Street Forrest, says the high interest rate regime is a major constraint to the development of the equities market.
 
Speaking on Real Business on Power 106FM Tuesday morning, the JSE managing director said, in light of this, Audrey Tugwell Henry, President of the Jamaica Bankers Association and the Scotia Group, has been invited to make a presentation at its upcoming 20th Regional Investments and Capital Markets Conference.
 
The conference will be held from January 21 to 23.
