Jamaica Broilers ends July quarter with higher earnings, profit

Jamaica Broilers Group ended the July quarter with higher revenue and profit.

Its financial results released on Thursday show revenue $5.3 billion higher at $22.9 billion when compared to the same period in 2021.

Jamaica Broilers ended the three months with just over $1 billion profit up from $275.4 million last year.

Total revenue for the Jamaican operations increased by seven per cent over the previous quarter.

This was primarily driven by higher production and sale of poultry and an expansion in the sale of baby chicks to small farmers.

Jamaica Broilers says the reopening of the local economy has helped to boost sales.
