Net premium income increases for insurance companies

There has been an increase in the combined net premium income of the Jamaica's general insurance companies.
 
According to the Economic and Social Survey 2020, net premium income during the year rose by 3.4 per cent to $5.6 billion. 
 
However, net investment income declined by 35.1 per cent to $700 million and net income decreased by 6.2 per cent to $1.1 billion.
 
Total assets of general insurance companies increased by 9.4 per cent to $93.4 billion.
