Artificial Intelligence firm StarApple AI and the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) have entered into an agreement.
The firm, in which the RJRGLEANER Communications group has a stake, will work with UCC on A.I. solutions using data science to tackle a range of issues.
The companies say they have already conducted pilots with several solutions including: an Artificial Intelligence supported financial aid tool to support working students, a sports lab utilising A.I. and drones and analytics to forecast game outcomes.
The partnership has also seen the creation of gamified learning labs teaching private and public sector professionals how to apply data analytics in their daily work.
