The JSE index advanced by 527 points, while the Junior market declined by 44 points.
Among the 37 winners were: Omni Industries, Cargo Handlers, A.S. Bryden and Sons Holdings, Lasco Manufacturing and Kingston Properties.
The 45 losers included: Jetcon Corpration, K.L.E. Group, Berger Paints Jamaica, Derrimon Trading Company and The LAB.
Twenty-two stocks traded firm.
