Director of Elections Glasspole Brown has said more than 1.9 million electors are on the new voters' list which will be published Friday.
The list, which was due on May 31, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on Radio Jamaica's call-in programme, Hotline, on Friday, Mr. Brown said the names of about 100,000 deceased individuals have been removed from the list.
The Director of Elections said Jamaica's political parties have been provided with a draft of the new voter's list "allowing them to go through to check to see if there was any error and come back to us." He said the EOJ also used the opportunity to do its own internal check "to ensure that at the end of the day, we have a list that is reflective of what it ought to be."
