22 more COVID-19 deaths

Jamaica's death toll from Covid-19 increased by 22 on Friday to 2,175.
 
The Ministry of Health & Wellness reported that the deaths occurred during the period August 30 to October 21.
 
The youngest person was an 18 year old girl from St Ann, while the eldest was a 93 year old man from St James.
 
Six of the deaths occurred in St James, while Hanover, Westmoreland, Manchester, St Elizabeth, Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine, Portland and St Ann recorded two deaths each.
 
Another 189 cases of the virus were confirmed on Friday, from 1,159 samples; that's a positivity rate 15.8 per cent .
 
Total cases since the start of the pandemic in Jamaica now number 88,159.
