The National Road Safety Council is reporting that 364 people died last year in crashes across the island.
This is 61 fewer than the 425 road fatalities in 2023.
Motorcyclists accounted for the majority of the deaths, with 122, followed by pedestrians, at 68, and private motor car drivers, at 63.
Despite the reduction in road fatalities in 2024, the authorities want more focus to be placed on some of the crash hotspots which have resulted in multiple fatal crashes.
