Housing Minister Pearnel Charles Jr says a Bill to amend the Rent Restriction Act is expected to be tabled in Parliament by the end of this fiscal year.
According to Mr. Charles, the amendments seek to strengthen the outdated provisions and address challenges faced by landlords and tenants.
Following extensive consultations and issuing drafting instructions to the Chief Parliamentary Counsel, Mr. Charles said a final draft is now due.
It will then be sent to Cabinet for consideration and approval.
