The Black River Hospital in St. Elizabeth is to receive a customer service unit.
This follows the implementation of similar units at other health facilities in Manchester and Clarendon.
Michael Bent, Regional Manager at the Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), said in addition to the Black River Hospital, plans are also underway for the introduction of customer service units elsewhere in the region.
Mr. Bent pointed out that the SRHA has other customer service initiatives, which include training to certify staff in customer service, implementation of customer charters and the promotion of information geared towards empowering customers to make improved decisions.
