Inspector Roderick Brown
The body of an unidentified woman was found this afternoon in Caymanas Glades in the St. Catherine South Police Division.
The police say a passerby was walking along a dirt track when he observed what appeared to be bloodstains and made further checks. The body of a woman was discovered face down in bushes and the police were called.
The police processed the scene and removed the body.
Inspector Roderick Brown of the St. Catherine South Police said this appears to be an isolated incident as the rural community has been relatively peaceful for the last four years.
Inspector Brown urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to call 119, 811 or 311, where they will be able to pass the information on confidentially.
