Broadcaster Anthony "Tony" Laing is dead

Broadcaster, cultural activist and musicologist, Anthony "Tony" Laing is dead.

Laing,68, died early Saturday at the Pines Nursing home at the St. Joseph's Hospital.

Tony Laing, who hosted the show "Laing and Company" on the radio station - Power 106, suffered from several strokes over a seven year period.

He was well known for his advocacy in the protection of artistes and was a proponent of strong copyright law.

He's survived by two children, sisters and a brother.
