Children's home manager accused of raping ward, offered bail

The Manager of a children's home in Linstead, St. Catherine, who is accused of raping a ward of the state, was on Friday offered bail in the sum of $500,000 when he appeared before the St. Catherine Parish Court.

Howard Pinnock, 46, was charged last week with rape, having sex with a minor and sexual touching.

This followed an investigation by the St. Catherine North Police and the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

It was reported that Mr. Pinnock took three wards of the state to his house, claiming he wanted to expose them to the running of a stable home.
